5 Factors That Will Affect the Cost of Your Wedding Flowers
When you think of wedding flowers, what do you see? Do you imagine desert inspired boho flowers with dried grasses mixed in with bold autumn colored blooms? Do you picture Bridgerton style gardens with overflowing urns of pastel fluffy peonies and garden roses? How about bright tropical flowers and lush greens with neon signs boldly declaring your new last name?
No matter what you see for your own wedding, most couples do not realize there are other factors that will affect the cost of your floral quote besides the flowers themselves. While some factors cannot be avoided, many can be taken into consideration during the planning of your big day.
Travel Costs If the wedding is taking place far away from a florist’s design studio, that traveling cost will be included in your wedding quote. This could include everything from gas for their car(s), airplane tickets, or lodging accomodations if the florist needs to stay overnight.
3. Holiday Inflation Are you planning your wedding for a holiday weekend or on the week of a major holiday? During holiday weeks, especially the week of Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, your flowers will be more expensive than usual. This is one area that gets overlooked by many couples but can alter floral prices drastically.
5. Number of Wedding Guests More guests equal more tables, and more tables mean more centerpieces that need to be included in your budget. While not all of these centerpieces have to be flowers, you will need something to go on each table to make the space look complete.
Little things can add up when it comes to your floral budget, but with a little planning and thought, these extra costs can be manageable. Most florists will also be able to suggest ways to get more bang for your buck during consultation. Want to learn more about how much you can afford for your own wedding?
